The Department of Sanskrit at S.B. College, Ara is committed to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Sanskrit language, literature, philosophy, and Indian culture. The department aims to develop intellectual, moral, and cultural values among students through the study of ancient Indian knowledge traditions and classical literature.
The department provides quality education in various areas of Sanskrit studies such as Sanskrit Literature, Grammar, Vedic Studies, Classical Poetry, Drama, Indian Philosophy, Linguistics, and Ancient Scriptures. Through academic learning and literary activities, students are encouraged to strengthen their language skills, analytical thinking, and understanding of India’s cultural and philosophical traditions.
